Few and Far Inbetween

I thought I deleted this blog!  But I didn't!  And that's great...  Because I'm just a little lazy to set up a new one.  I'm hoping that I will update this blog as the year progresses, chronicling my Thesis year, which I'm in the midst of... 

...I say "hope", because clearly I have a terrible history of updating this darn blog, and I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how to post stuff...

Next post will probably be of some past work.

Originally I was going to do these in acrylic w/ glazes. But it kept getting streaky or pulling off the layers as I stroked. Yesterday I got fed up with acrylic and switched to using oils.

changed the layout.
I kept breaking the previous layout.

Okay. I can't really decide whether or not to just dump all the sketches I've done for a while on here or not. I probably won't... If I find something good maybe.

Soon I have to start on my triptych (lol watch me look it up on Google, I always spell it wrong...). My ~FINAL~ painting studio assignment. I plan on doing a narrative based on trepanning. It's amazing what a massive headache can inspire.

It'll be a self-portrait, it seems the most appropriate.

But in the mean while I practed a bit of drawing with some Google searched "headache"

No, not all perfect. But considering how long it used to take me to draw from references... I'm pretty damn happy.
